Baker –Specialty Foods

Cielito Rico is your latin store, restaurant and catering services located in Vaughan ON.  In addition to a wide selection of fresh local and imported products, we cook and bake from scratch in-store according to Mexican tradition. Our wholesome prepared dishes, artisan breads, cakes and pastries are based on centuries-old recipes. Cielito Rico considers itself a space for tradition, culinary art and inspirational Mexican gastronomy.

We are currently looking for a full time “baker” specialized in Mexican sweet bread and pastries with 2-3 years of experience.

The successful candidate will need to

• Prepare dough for, bread, rolls and sweet goods, like Rosca de Reyes, Conchas and Pan de Muerto and batters for cookies and cakes according to Mexican recipes or special customer orders, like gluten free.
• Operate machinery
• Bake mixed doughs and batters
• Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods
• Ensure quality of products meets established standards
• Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce
• Purchase baking supplies
• May hire, train and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
