Job location: Main Street at Chisholm Park, Antigonish, Nova Scotia, B2G 2C6

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare multiple orders simultaneously during peak periods with high accuracy rate, maximizing customer satisfaction.
Cook food items by grilling, frying, sauteing and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
Set up and prepare cooking supplies and workstations during opening and closing to maximize productivity.
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
Coordinate cooking activities with team members.
Ensure all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
Adhere to Health & Safety policies and regulations.
Coach and train new kitchen helpers

Key Competencies:

Relevant work experience is an asset.
Excellent knowledge of various ingredients.
Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
Efficient organizational and time-management skills.
Understanding food safety practices.
Interpersonal skills and team-building skills.
Completion of the Food Safety course, Safe Food Handling course or equivalent is desired.
Able to communicate in basic English.

Work hours:

35 to 40 hours a week

Salary & benefits:

$16.00 per hour
5 days paid personal / sick leave.
Meals provided while on shifts.
