Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, products, and services. This is a critical role within our organization, as you will play a key role in maintaining our supply chain and ensuring the smooth operation of our business.
Duties:
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize procurement processes
• Source and procure materials, products, and services from approved vendors
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns
• Stay informed about market trends, new products, and industry developments
• Manage vendor relationships and conduct regular performance evaluations
• Oversee the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery
• Ensure compliance with company policies and proceduresReview and process claims against suppliers
Interview, hire and oversee training of staff.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Certificate in Dry Pastry or baking filed
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role 3 years or more
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards
-Background working in Bakery or cafe environment
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and terms
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings
• Familiarity with sourcing and buying materials for fabrication processes
• Solid understanding of supply chain management principles
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
